FLUCTUATIONS

 

ECOLOGICAL NOOK AT RIO DA PLATA: The tour starts with a walk of approximately 50 minutes. When you dive at the spring of the Rio Olho D´água, a new world is born before your eyes. You will float quietly in a huge aquarium of crystal clear water for approximately 2,200 m. Afterwards, lunch is served in the receptive, which also offers: Bar, restaurant, toilets, hammock area and souvenir shop.

The flotation equipment (neoprene clothing and boots, life vest, mask and snorkel) are included in the price. Ride recommended for children over 08 years old

 

 

BAR OF SUCURI: It is a boat ride with fluctuation in the Rio Sucuri. Where tourists have the opportunity to meet the outside of Rio Sucuri through a boat ride, followed by a fluctuation ride of 1,300 m, where you can disconnect from the outside world and enjoy all the beauty of the river with the third most crystalline waters in the whole Planet.

A natural aquarium filled with Curimbatás, Piraputangas, Dourados, Mato Grosso, among many other fishes. 

 

SPRINGS

Nascente Azul (The Blue Spring) and Lago da Capela (The Chapel Pond): The tour starts with a walk of approximately 30 minutes by riparian vegetation, contemplating the local flora and fauna. The fluctuation is held at a distance of approximately 400 meters and lasts for 30 to 40 minutes; it is the only Floating tour that allows visitors to practice apnea in its spring, with one of the most crystalline waters in the Region.

The tour also features a bathing resort with great infrastructure, where visitors can spend the day, or even take advantage of this wonderful site after the fluctuation tour.

Fluctuation tour - recommended for children over 06 years old.

 

 

NATURAL AQUARIUM: Located in the Ecological Reserve of Bonita Bay, the tour starts with a walk of approximately 15 minutes for a trail that leads to the spring of Rio Baía Bonita, where is held a fluctuation of approximately 900 m. The visitor floats among fishes and enjoys rich underwater vegetation, giving the feeling of being in a real aquarium. The entire route is monitored by the support boat.

The Rio Baía Bonita flows into the Rio Formoso, the largest of the region, and fun on the reel is secured.

To further enrich the tour, the tourists have the option to meet the Animal Trail, where they can watch several species of local wildlife, and also from the Pantanal and Cerrado, through lookouts and walkways for approximately 2,000 m. 

 

 

ECOLOGICAL PARK OF RIO FORMOSO: The tour starts with a walk of approximately 2,200 m by the riparian forest of Rio Formoso, up to the Morro da Piúva, which overlooks the Bodoquena Mountain Range.

In the return trip the fluctuation is of approximately 2,800 m over crystal clear water.

The pleasant receptive features toilets, bar and restaurant across a pond, and the visitor can still end the day with an optional pleasant horse ride. Ride recommended for children over 06 years old

 

 

ADVENTURES

 

BÓIA CROSS: A short walk of approximately 300 m in the riparian vegetation leads to the starting point of the tour. The visitors ride in individual buoys - accompanied by monitors - for a distance of approximately 1,200 m facing three waterfalls and two rapids. The return is by a trail of approximately 100 m to the car, which brings the tourists up to the receptive. Tour recommended for children over 06 years old

 

 

BOAT OVER THE RIO FORMOSO: Performed in inflatable boats for a distance of 6 km, the boat tour pass by three waterfalls and two rapids with a short stop for swimming of approximately 20 minutes. The tour end is at Ilha do Padre (Priest Island). Its local infrastructure includes several decks and waterfalls for swimming, in addition to toilets, cloakroom, bar, coffee shop and restaurant. Ideal for all ages and the life vest is included in the price. 

 

LOBO GUARÁ BIKE ADVENTURE: This is a guided tour that uses as means of transportation imported, high-quality bikes that feature aluminum frame, full suspension system and front and rear disc brake, ideal for you to venture with comfort and safety. During the tour, you will enjoy the adventure of riding a bike for a distance of approximately 4 KM along the riparian forest of Rio Formoso, stopping at 2 decks for swimming. Tours recommended for children over 7 years old

 

QUAD BIKE (Zagaia Route): It is a tour conducted in individual Quad Bikes - always accompanied by a monitor - with duration of approximately 40 minutes. The route is held within Zagaia Hotel, passing through a forest and several barriers.

 

BÓIA CROSS – ECOLOGICAL PARK OF RIO FORMOSO: The tour starts with a walk of 900 meters into the forest and bordering Rio Formoso. After the walk, the adventure begins in individual buoys, passing through 08 rapids and also calm waters, totaling 1,200 meters of descent. In the end, a track of 200 meters take the tourists to the receptive of the Ecological Park, where they can enjoy the pond`s decks. PPE required for the tour include life vest, helmet and hiking sandals. Tour recommended for children over 6 years old

 

TREE CLIMBING COTTAGES: The Tree Climbing tour of the Cabanas Hotel is a 300 meters long route, with heights ranging from 4 to 15 meters above the ground, allowing the visitor to interact with nature observing wildlife and local flora through the canopy of ancient trees. There are a total of 20 different stations of gradual difficulties, featuring two ziplines, the last of which is an aquatic zipline in Rio Formoso, all done very safely. All required equipment are included in the price. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Recommended for children over 06 years old

 

DIVING

 

DIVING IN RIO FORMOSO ( CAYMAN SCUBA OPERATOR ): Excellent for those who want to experience the sensation of diving with scuba equipment amid shoals of fishes in the stunning scenery of Rio Formoso, which are characterized by submerged trunks and limestone formations.

The entire route of approximately 300 m is monitored by Instructor / Dive Master and has a minimum duration of 30 minutes under water, at an average depth of 4m. Tour recommended for children over 10 years old

 

DIVING IN RIO DA PRATA: A fascinating diving, ideal for those who want to experience the feeling of being in the middle of the most diverse schools, in such clear water that impresses even the most seasoned.

The entire route of approximately 600 m is monitored by Instructor / Dive Master and has a minimum duration of 30 minutes under water at a depth ranging from 3 to 7 m. Tour recommended for children over 10 years old

 

RAPPEL

 

RAPPEL + TRAIL "NA BOCA DA ONÇA" (IN THE MOUTH OF THE OUNCE): The tour consists of a descent full of adrenaline on a vertical wall 90 m high. The rappel platform is a 34 m long structure jutting out into the abyss, providing stunning views of Rio Salobra's Canyon and the small caves existing in the seawall. To finish the rappel, a bath in the highest waterfall in the state is essential.

Tour recommended for children over 45 Kg

 

RAPPEL IN THE ABYSS OF ANHUMAS: The rappel of 72 meters, which begins with a cleft in the rock and leads to a cave with magnificent formations and a crystal clear lake the size of a football field that reaches 80 m depth.

The floating or autonomous diving reveal the underwater beauty of the place, which hides cones of up to 17 m tall, with a visibility of up to 60 m. The rappel requires a mandatory training on the previous day, and the autonomous diving requires credential. Tour recommended for children over 12 years old

 

GROTTOS

 

GRUTA DO LAGO AZUL ( GROTTO OF THE BLUE LAKE ): Regarded as the postcard of the city of Bonito, it is a contemplative and historical tour that begins with a walk of approximately 300 m up to the entrance of the cave, where you can already get an idea of ​​the grotto's beauty. Descending approximately 200 m by a staircase carved into the rocks, the tourists can see a lake that delights for the waters intensely bluish and beautiful speleothems thousands of years old.

Mandatory use of tennis shoes and Tour not recommended for people who have some difficulty in mobility, pregnant women and people suffering from labyrinthitis. Children only above 5 years.

 

GROTTO OF SÃO MIGUEL: Located in the Parque Ecológico Vale Anhumas (Ecological Park of Anhumas Valley), the tour begins with a video presentation of the Grottos of São Miguel, and follows with an exciting walk through the canopy of the Cerrado trees through a suspended bridge of approximately 200 m, and continues for another 150 m of trail to reach the entrance of one of the oldest caves of this planet.

A dry cave with varied geological formations, where the untouched nature reveals its coral and limestone nests. Mandatory use of tennis shoes and recommended for children above 05 years old

 

WATERFALLS

 

CACHOEIRAS BOCA DA ONÇA ECOTOUR ( MOUTH OF OUNCE ECOTOUR WATERFALLS ): The tour consists of a walk through a trail within preserved woods of approximately 4 km, passing by 11 crystal clear waterfalls, including the Boca da Onça (Mouth of the Ounce) Waterfall - the highest in the state, 156 m tall - the scenic Rio Salobra and swimming spots in natural pools. Mandatory use of tennis shoes.

 

CACHOEIRAS DO RIO DO PEIXE ( RIO DO PEIXE'S WATERFALLS ): A fascinating walk at Fazenda Água Viva - one of the most beautiful and idyllic scenery of the region.

The first stage of the tour is a route of approximately 1,600 m passing by several ornamental waterfalls, natural pools and small, submerged grottos. On the way, the tourists can contemplate attractive wildlife such as monkeys, araras, toucans, among other.

In the farmhouse, the tourists are offered a delicious, Southern-Mato Grosso lunch, and after a well deserved rest, the tour continues for another rout of approximately 800 m passing through other three swimming spots.

 

ESTÂNCIA MIMOSA ( MIMOSA RESORT ): The tour starts with a walk through an interpretative trail within the lush riparian forest of Rio Mimoso, with stops for swimming in waterfalls and natural pools.

Along the way, passing through eight waterfalls of various shapes and sizes with great places for swimming in natural pools, there are suspended walkways, small grottos, viewpoints overlooking the Hills of Bodoquena Mountain Range, a stretch of rowing boat and a jump platform 6 feet high that turns the ride into an unforgettable adventure for any age. 

 

PARQUE DAS CACHOEIRAS ( WATERFALLS PARK ): The tour starts with a walk through a natural trail in the riparian forest of Rio Mimoso, contemplating the charms of the local fauna and flora.

During the route of approximately 1,700 m you can swim and contemplate 7 beautiful waterfalls formed by calcareous tuffs, each with their beauty and charm, in addition to small caves, natural pools and reels. 

 

BATHING RESORTS

 

BONITO'S LOCAL BATHING RESORT: The crystal clear waters of Rio Formoso allow a clear view of fishes of various colors and sizes. It offers free parking, volleyball and beach soccer courts, snack bars and restaurants, and kiosks with barbecue and toilets 

 

PRAIA DA FIGUEIRA ( BEACH OF THE FIG TREE ): A huge tree gave the name to this beautiful landscape known as "Praia da Figueira" ("Fig Tree Beach"). A pond of crystal clear waters with 60,000 m² for swimming, diving and engaging in other water activities such as kayaking, ziplining, playing biribol, riding paddle boats and, of course, playing beach volleyball and racquetball, all accompanied by plenty of sunshine.

Surrounded by plenty of greenery and excellent infrastructure with bar, restaurant and snack bar, toilets, deckchairs, playground, volleyball and beach soccer court and a hammock area under a towering fig tree with about 25 years of age.

 

ILHA BONITA ( BEAUTIFUL ISLAND ): Balneário Ilha Bonita (Ilha Bonita Bathing Resort) has a full structure of entertainment and convenience. It has natural pools, islands and waterfalls, and a great deal of fun for you and your family, with 02 ziplines, 04 trampolines. The bathing resort offers hammock area, bar and restaurant, volleyball courts, kiosks with barbecue and game room.

You can walk through the bushes by the river and watch wild animals, fishes and birds. Recommended for all ages. 

 

BURACO DAS ARARAS ( THE ARARAS' HOLLOW ): Amid the Cerrado there is a Sinkhole (a depression formed by landslides), an enormous crater totally formed by sandstone, 120 m deep, 500 m in diameter, beautiful and exuberant, it is a place that several birds - especially the "Red Araras" - adopted as their natural habitat. Inside it, fauna and flora are quite special, with its own ecosystem and a large pond inhabited by alligators of the yellow pappus kind. The tour is a good option, before or after for those who made the Rio da Prata tour, or when arriving or leaving Bonito.

 

URBAN ATTRACTIONS

 

PROJETO JIBÓIA ( JIBÓIA PROJECT ): The Jibóia Project aims to demystify non venomous snakes, as well as to promote environmental education with information regarding characteristics and food habits of snakes and their role in nature. Aims at reducing the indiscriminate killing of snakes in the wild and the creation of snakes in captivity to supply the pet market, avoiding their collection in the environment. 

 

 

AQUÁRIO DE BONITO ( BONITO'S AQUARIUM ): offers visitors the opportunity to meet and get closer to more than 60 fish species from the Bodoquena Mountain Range and the Pantanal, distributed in 20 freshwater tanks, including dourados, pacus, pintados, cascudos, turtles, crabs and many others, and may even play in a farm. 

 

FABRICA DA TABOA ( CATTAIL FACTORY ): In the cattail factory you can enjoy the assembly of bottles coated in straw, and the sectors of labeling, potting, the pond with Cattail planting, and the herbs that comprise the mix. Taste the delicious cattail cachaça (distilled spirit) and its variations.

 

WANT TO KNOW THE PANTANAL?

 

FAZENDA SAN FRANCISCO ( SAN FRANCISCO FARM ): Situated in the Pantanal de Miranda, the farm offers a tour of 1 day (day-use) that consists of a Photo Safari in an open car through the forest reserves and fields of irrigated rice contemplating the flora and fauna of the Pantanal, visit to the paddocks of creation of the Nellore and Montana Tropical breeds, walk down the suspended track of carandazal (700 m.), located on the banks of the Rio Miranda, where the tourists meets Corixo Dão Domingos, and after a delicious lunch with Pantanal typical dishes, the tourists head to the tour of Chalana with artisanal fishing of "Piranhas" and contemplation of riverside fauna and flora and the beautiful landscape with the sun setting in Pantanal, ending the tour with a happy hour, accompanied by the aphrodisiac "Piranha" broth.
